Summary

This waulking song is in the form of a man's love song. It begins: "I like the maiden, though I didn't win her for myself. I like the golden-haired maiden who climbs the hill." The composer, who is in hospital in England, goes on to send greetings to Dunvegan, to the merchants of Leith, and also to the men in Harris.
