Summary - Glengarry tries to do away with his illegitimate grandson.
Glengarry sent his servant away when he found out that she was pregnant by his son. She had a boy. When the boy was eighteen he went to see his grandfather in Glengarry. He asked him for a fighting cockerel. His grandfather gave him a wild bull instead. He was hoping that the bull would kill the boy. The boy was able to control the bull and he took it home.
Next year, the boy went to see his grandfather again. He asked for three pullets. His grandfather gave him three heifers to have with the bull. After that, the boy and his grandfather got on well with each other.
The contributor's father heard this story from the boy's grandson when he was in Loch Aoineart selling herring.
