Summary
Description of silver water used in cures.
Water used in a cure had to be taken from a place crossed by the living and the dead, generally under a bridge crossed by funeral processions. A silver coin was then dropped in it. The 'silver water' then had special properties for healing. This was believed firmly in Caithness.
