Summary

This humorous song tells of a man who took a stirk to the cattle sale in Gerinish, South Uist, in order to get a drover to take it. The day did not go well, and he met a long list of people claiming money from him, for many different things. They included the weaveress, the cobbler, the grain merchant, the tea merchant and the factor.
