Summary
Brucie Henderson's work as a ploughman during WWI.
Although he enjoyed working with sheep, Brucie Henderson's best job was working as a ploughman with great horses during the First World War. He passed his Army medical with an A1 certificate, but he and another man were selected to act as ploughmen, working for anyone who wanted ploughing done. To deny a job meant being sent to the front line.
As the war progressed he was before the selection board three times, but the war ended before he could be called up.
