Summary
Cows, calves and milking.
The contributor used to tie the cow's tail to its leg, to stop it flicking while she was milking. She would also tie the legs of those liable to kick. Calves were weaned by attaching pieces of iron [cròcan] to their mouths. She milked with two hands, sitting on a stool.
People made butter and cheese. A description of a barrel churn is given.
