Summary - An orphan girl, Mary, is left in the care of her wicked uncle. She wants to marry his ploughboy, Willie, but he wants her to marry a wealthy squire and contrives to have young Willie taken by the press gang. She meets the squire and he attempts to take her by force but she grabs his sword and kills him. Her uncle hears the noise and threatens her, but she shoots him. The doctor and lawyer come, and her uncle wills all his money to Mary. She sends for Willie and they marry.
