Item Notes - 4 verses sung plus chorus at the beginning and end.
This lament, sung as a lullaby, is attributed to the widow of Gregor MacGregor of Glenstrae, who was beheaded in 1570. There are many versions of the song 'Griogal Cridhe' and these are available in other sources.
