Summary

The places where Sandy Scott has lived; his brother's Army songs.

Sandy Scott was born at Windshielknowe [between Hawick and Newcastleton]. He was there until the age of five, then the family moved first to Nisbetmill, near Ancrum, then to Whitterhopefoot, then to Hartwoodmyres [south-west of Selkirk], for nine years. Sandy got married and moved to Selkirk, before moving to Fife three and a half years ago. His younger brother Douglas brought a lot of songs back from the Army. Douglas was in Northern Ireland at Ballykinler Barracks [south-west of Downpatrick].
