An account of Roderick MacPherson's genealogy.
Aonghas mac Chaluim, the contributor's great-grandfather, returned to Uist when he built the mill. One son, the contributor's grandfather, stayed in Barra. He was drowned and his widow was evicted from the croft to Bolnabodach. They moved from there to Bruernish. An account is given of the family and how they were raised on poor land.
