Summary
Discussion about songs composed by Maggie Stewart, as well as traditional songs she taught Stanley Robertson.
Stanley Robertson reminds Maggie Stewart about a song she herself wrote:
I bide in Constitution Street, no far awa fae the sea,
Aberdeen's a bonnie place, but no the place for me
For ma mind aye wanders back again, and the sights I used tae see,
Aberdeen's a bonnie place, but no the place for me.
For I was born on Deeside on Coronation Day
And ma dad took out his bagpipes and started for to play
...
Maggie recalls that she composed it one day while reflecting on her early days travelling about Scotland.
There is some discussion about tape recordings of Maggie made by herself and by Janet [Stanley's sister]. Stanley reminds Maggie of songs that she taught him.
