Summary
The Battle of Gruinart Sands, Lachlann Mòr and the dwarf.
Prior to the Battle of Gruinart Sands, a dwarf who had been rejected by the MacLeans was accepted by Seumas Òg Ìle into the MacDonald army. During the battle, the dwarf climbed a tree, and when Lachlann Mòr removed his armour in order to bend down to drink water from a spring, the dwarf's arrow pierced his chest. The men of Mull lost hope when they saw their leader dead and they sought refuge in a church, which the MacDonalds burnt down. It is believed that only one MacLean escaped.
