Marion Campbell married when she was 24/25 years old. At first she and her husband stayed in Oban. Her husband worked on the Lochboisdale ferry. When they came to stay in South Uist, she and her husband lived in one end of the house, and her brother-in-law and his family and her mother-in-law lived in the other end. They all got on well together. She had three of a family. Her husband was a good piper. People were good at helping each other at that time.
