Summary
The fairies taught a woman how to spin.
A fairy knoll door could not be closed while there was a nail or a knife in it. The fairies had no power over iron. If a person went into a knoll while it was open, the fairies would teach them a skill. A woman from Howmore went into a knoll and she could spin beautifully, directly from the fleece, wool which had not been combed or carded.
