Summary
How Cailleach an t-Srutha Ruaidh put Gille nan Cochla Craicinn under a spell.
Gille nan Cochla Craicinn and Fionn were fishing together one day. Gille nan Cochla Craicinn spotted a large deer on higher ground. Fionn told him that it belonged to Cailleach an t-Srutha Ruaidh. Gille nan Cochla Craicinn caught the deer. Oscar and Caoilte put the venison onto a large cauldron, but the water would not boil. A man came and asked them to tell him of the time they had been in the most danger. After they had done this, the cauldron began to boil. When Cailleach an t-Srutha Ruaidh found out that Gille nan Cochla Craicinn had killed her deer, she put him under a spell. He had to bring her the head of Macan Mòr in order to lift the spell.
