Summary
A song about a dog called 'Pilot'. The contributor tells that sixteen of the Baile a' Phuill bards were in a house together. The lady of the house was taking a pot off the pot-hook over the fire and 'Pilot' was in her way, so she kicked him out of the way (not hurting him). The others started to tease her, saying she had knocked out the eye of poor Pilot and each bard added to the song which was being composed extempore.
Some of the bards who were in attendance are named by the contributor in Gaelic.
