Summary
Big Lachlann of Duart and the Battle of Gruinart Sands.
In 1598, Big Lachlann of Duart went to Islay with the intention of seizing some land. He was advised by the Doideag Mhuileach to avoid doing three particular things, and also not to raise his banner on a particular hill. Unfortunately, he disobeyed, and suffered death at the hands of a wee man called the Dubh-sìth. Subsequently, the MacLeans lost their courage and fled. All of them bar one were burnt to death in a church.
