Summary
A lament composed for Dòmhnall Mòr Òg from Leac Ruadh, thirteen miles from Roybridge. He was a factor to the Duke of Gordon and died around the year 1787.
The contributor's parents had this song and he learnt it from them. A man in Cape Breton had come into possession of a copy of eight verses of the song, written by a Lochaber descendent. He asked the contributor if he knew the song and, when the contributor sang the sixteen verses, the man threw the piece of paper over the bridge!
Item Notes
