Summary
How 'Rubha nam Marbh' got its name.
'Iain Dubh a' Chafaidh' lived in Balranald. The contributor gives his patronymic. One night he was snatched by people who were on their way to plunder in Heisker. They asked him to steer the boat for them. On the journey they were asking him the names of places. He said that a certain headland would be called 'Rubha nam Marbh' after that night. He jumped ashore and everyone else was drowned. Iain Dubh's descendants are still on the island.
