Summary
Hogmanay customs.
The contributor recites two Hogmanay rhymes which they used. He has never heard 'Duan na Ceàrdaich'. Lads of school age would go out in small groups. They went out in the Carinish area and would reach Carnoch.
Discussion about 'caisean', which was lit to bring good luck to a home in the New Year. Children go out nowadays [1966] for Halloween. They do not say rhymes.
