Summary
How Roderick, son of Allan, gained tenancy of a croft.
Mrs Curstaidh Paterson says that her grandfather, Roderick son of Allan, was born in Siabaidh. Her mother was born in 1856. Roderick had no money or animals and he was set to lose the land. He went to his wife's relatives in Daliburgh, South Uist, and got the loan of a cow and money to pay the rent for the croft.
