North Uist mills.
Much corn was grown in North Uist. Mention of Tigharry Mill and how the smith deceived the landlord into giving it to his son. However, he was avenged.
There were three mills in North Uist. The miller was paid in grain, usually a peck per bowl. Mention of the skill for grinding various grains such as barley, oats and rye.
