Summary - Information about how coffins were made, stained, polished and lowered into the ground.

Information about how the contributor's father made coffins. He stained the coffin with a mixture made from burnt wood shavings and water. It was then polished. Eventually, shop-bought wood stain was used. The coffin was lowered into the grave with ropes; it had no handles.
