Summary
Information about how seal and cod liver oil were used.
Seal oil was made locally. It would still be made if there were any seals to catch. It was used to cure tuberculosis. Cod liver oil was also used, but it was rough compared to seal oil. A man who had tuberculosis rubbed his vest against some seal skin which still had plenty of blubber attached to it. He was cured. The oil was only drunk when it was needed to cure an ailment.
