Summary
Jeemsie Laurenson sings what he considers to be one of the oldest hymn tunes in Shetland, dating from the Reformation. He does not know if [Patrick] Shuldham-Shaw got the tune traced. It was handed down by Jeemsie's great grandmother. It was supposed to have been sung in the West Church, where two sisters were precentors. One was too shy to sing, so was always accompanied by her sister.
