Summary
How bad will caused some unfortunate events.
In 1911 the wells dried up and water had to be carried from the shore. During the drought the contributor and a friend, Niall MacMhuirich, who were both employed by James Johnston, had to carry buckets of water from the shore to the steading, even during the weekend when they felt entitled to time off. They resented this and Niall declared that Johnston would regret it. Shortly after this, Johnston was told that he would have to be out of his farm by May. Hence Niall was avenged of Johnston, but he himself was killed a fortnight later in an accident involving a horse and cart.
