Hector Kennedy's young brother, Donald Archie, was a very good scholar in both Gaelic and English. He won a copy of the Òranaiche for Gaelic while he was at school in Tiree. Hector believed that Donald Sinclair had got a hold of the book after Donald Archie died and still had it.
