Summary
In the opening lines of this waulking song, as sung here, a girl tells how her lover has passed by on horseback, ignoring her completely. The lines which follow are in praise of Clan Donald, and tell how they swore on the Bible at Auldearn [1645] that their swords would not be sheathed until King James was crowned.
