Summary - MacLeans seeking vengeance on MacPhee in Colonsay put him to death in a cave.
MacLeans came to cause trouble in Colonsay. MacPhee fled with his servant and black dog, but they got his wife. He sent the servant back to help her. He went, but told MacPhee he would have been safe with himself and the black dog. MacPhee took refuge in a cave using his dog to keep the MacLeans out, but they got through the top and caught him. The butler, who was with him, escaped and swam off. He was struck by an arrow, but continued and escaped to Jura.
