Summary
Pat Shuldham-Shaw's influence on the Shetland fiddle scene.
Tom Anderson discusses the influence of traditional music collector Pat Shuldham-Shaw on Shetland music. He worked in Shetland in the post-war period and had no means of recording, but was the first person to study Shetland music for 150 years. He sought the older "genuine" Shetland material and was considered a real gentleman and a massive figure in preserving local music.
