The contributor discusses the fishing industry in his area. He started fishing when he was fourteen years old. Herring was the main catch, and was sold all over the country. There were over thirty boats in Ardrishaig at the time, and sixty in Tarbert. He briefly mentions the making of whisky in Campbeltown.
