Summary
Musicians and singers in the older generations of the Fisher family.
Mrs Fisher's elder sister Mary was a good singer of Gaelic songs. Her brother Willie played the melodeon and pipes. They played and sang at local ceilidhs and dances. Mrs Fisher's maternal grandfather, Willie Boyd, was also a good singer, and used to sing as he worked. Mrs Fisher sings Gaelic songs around the house, but never sang in public.
