Summary - Traditional singers on the Edinburgh folk scene.

When Maggie and Liz Cruickshank were starting out on the folk music scene they heard many well-known traditional singers, such as Jeannie Robertson, Jimmy MacBeath, Fred Jordan and Stan Hugill. They heard Joe Heaney at the Crown, but didn't know he was famous. They heard Dominic Behan, Jean Redpath and others at the Howff. Maggie Cruickshank has a photograph with many traditional singers now [1986] deceased in it. She names some of them. Mention of Robin Gray and his career as a dentist and surgeon.
