Summary
The composer of this waulking song knows that the earl's son will send her a message, a servant, a letter, a horse and a saddle. However, he will not get her this year, as her parents will have married her to a deaf, dun-coloured man. He would need 12 yards of cloth for a coat. The woman wishes she had MacDonald from Lochaber. She would sleep with him anywhere.
