Summary
Rights to speak in the first language.
There are times when it is right for people to stand up for their right to speak in their first language. George Jones, Mark Wringe and Donald Martin discuss this and explain the difference between Wales, Ireland and Scotland concerning the standing given to the different minority languages. Although there are times when English has to be spoken, people who come into these different places should not always expect locals to change from their first language.
