Summary
In this waulking song, the composer describes herself as sad as she realises the west wind is rising. She would prefer the east wind, and wants the boat to come. She sends greetings to Sleat where there will be piping, fiddling, and drinking. The young men will sing songs in English. She speaks of a young MacLean who is a good dancer. The girl he chose is beautiful, but the composer comments that he would be better off with a girl who would look after his cattle. (Breaks off as tape comes to an end.)
