Summary
Performances from the winner and runner-up in the premier choral competition at the National Mòd, the Lovat and Tullibardine Shield.
The first song is a lament for Rory Mòr. It is a pibroch song, in which the piper asks to be handed his pipes, for he is in grief and pain for Rory Mòr. He says that neither harp nor pipes will lift his heart, for the man of his heart is dead.
This is followed by a song in which the bard praises the MacDonald forces, handsome in their clan's dress as they return from the Battle of Harlaw with a spring in their step.
