Summary

John Carmichael talks to the winners of the Gold Medals at the National Mòd.

Mary Ann Kennedy sings a pastoral song. The poet loves to listen to the birds in the wood, singing sweetly on a May morning. However, the singing of the maidens at the sheep fold is even more beautiful.

Ronald Murray sings a song was composed for the fair maid of Barra. The bard wishes he could fly freely across the firths like a bird. He would be sad when the fair maid parted from him. He describes her as the star that lights up each day for him.
