Summary - A lament for the Gaels who have left their land. The poet sits alone in the glen, surrounded by beauty, but unable to forget those who are lost to him. He will not see the shepherd or the dairymaid going about their work. The harp of his ancestors is silent and no echo can be heard amongst the rocks.
