Summary
Donald Allan MacDonald and his bardic talent.
The bard, Donald Allan MacDonald of South Uist, discusses his own connection with the bard John MacCodrum and how he believes his bardic talent came down through that line. He recites a verse by Dòmhnall na Camairt and discusses his kinship with the bard Dòmhnall Ruadh Chorùna. He talks of a dream which Dòmhnall Ruadh had about a black horse omen at a time when his son, Calum, was in hospital. It turned out that the death which later occurred was that of a young man, also named Calum, who had been involved in a motorbike accident.
