Summary
Tom Anderson introduces 'Christmas Day ida Morning' and plays it on the fiddle.
The tune is said to have been composed by Unst fiddler Friedemann Stickle, who lived rent free for playing this tune for the Laird every Christmas morning. It was collected by Pat Shaw from John Stickle. There is discussion of how tunes from Britain and Europe are found in Shetland because of trade links, and of Irish musical influence.
