A merchant had a parrot which was a good speaker. An Irishmen used to visit the shop and liked the parrot. He wished he had one and asked for an egg to be kept for him. The merchant gave him some and the Irishman put them under a hen. When they hatched, the Irishman found he had ducklings. He was not pleased he had been fooled and went to the shop.
