Summary - The Battle of Gruinart Sands.

Before the Battle of Gruinart Sands, Lachlan Mòr MacLean of Duart was warned not to drink from a certain well, not to land at a certain place on the shore of Islay, and not to raise his standard on a certain hill. He did all three, lost the battle, and was killed by a dwarf from Jura. The dwarf, an Dubh-sìth, had earlier offered to fight on his side, but when Lachlan Mòr refused him, he offered his services to the MacDonalds.
