Title - Bàs Dhiarmaid

Summary - A fragment of the Ossianic ballad 'The Death of Diarmad'. Fionn commands Diarmad to measure the wild boar. Diarmad measured it at sixteen feet from snout to heel. Fionn refused to believe it and asked Diarmad to measure it again, steadily against the bristles, and as a reward he would be given his pick of the sharp-edged swords. He measured it again and the strong bristles pierced the soles of the hero who was valiant in battle.
