The woman broaches the subject, and the man says that would be the end of his freedom, so they part with him asking her to invite him to her wedding. She soon meets someone who does propose, and invites her former sweetheart to the wedding. He turns up expecting to win her back. She quotes back his words and tells him he can come to her wedding and serve the bridegroom.
