Summary

Stories, songs, poems and proverbs.

The contributor remembers a proverb his father used frequently - 'Dar a thig an latha, thig comhairle'. He does not remember stories being told in Gaelic, but does remember his father telling a story in English about a giant being outwitted and slitting his own stomach.

Information is given on a parody made up after Calum Bàn and Neil MacKay were driven off course to Ulva on their way back from Bunessan in a boat. The contributor recites a small piece of this poem which was based on the song 'A Chaluim Bhig'. There is also mention of a poem composed by Bob MacLellan about the Hall on the top of Dun Ì; there was local argument about where it should be built.
