Summary
The one-eyed miller and the mute Englishman.
MacLeod had to go to England to try to win a bet. He asked a man to accompany him, but he refused. The one-eyed miller offered to go with him. The miller and an Englishman were left in a room together. The Englishman raised one finger and the miller raised two, etc. They completely misunderstood each other. The Englishman was referring to God and the miller to the number of eyes they have between them. The miller won the bet for MacLeod.
