A song about the intervention by Mrs Montgomery in a political argument at her home: she bids both sides lay aside their disputes and instead dance the reel of Tullochgorum.

Composed by Rev. John Skinner (1721-1807), who was asked by Mrs Montgomery of Ellon to supply lyrics to the old tune 'Tullochgorum'. He wrote the words over dinner during a political argument.
