Summary

Appearances of a phantom dog.

A strange dog appeared to Jock Stewart on two occasions, seven years apart, in different places. On the first occasion he and his wife were at Loch Tay, at about eleven o'clock at night. Near Kenmore there was a low dyke topped with sods. The dog was sitting there, too close for them to avoid. Its eyes were as big as pennies, it was brown, and Jock could see right through its curls. He called out, "Culyie, culyie, culyie!" and made to touch it, but felt nothing. Seven years later he saw it again when he was returning alone from Aboyne. It was the same dog, on the same side of the road, and again he stroked it and felt nothing.
