Summary

This waulking song is said to have been composed by Clanranald's daughter. According to oral tradition, she had been banished from Uist to Coll, and worked for MacLean of Coll. One day, her brother came to the island in his galley. He did not recognize his sister, until she sang this song telling of their relationship, and expressing a wish to return to Uist.
